⚔️ Core Mechanics

Core Exposure

  • Every Kaiju has a hidden core that must be exposed before Ultimates deal full damage.
  • Use skills matching the Kaiju's weakness attribute to chip away at PLT and expose the core.
  • Once exposed, the core is vulnerable for a limited window — coordinate your squad's turn order to maximize damage.
  • Attacks on a Core Exposed Kaiju do not count toward Seen Through activation count.

SP (Skill Points)

  • SP is a shared resource spent on Combat Skills across the whole squad.
  • Normal Attacks are free. Combat Skills cost 1–2 SP.
  • Some characters generate SP through passives or Ascension nodes — check individual character pages.
  • Don't burn SP early if you need it for a key window later in the fight.

PLT (Plates)

  • Kaiju have PLT that must be destroyed to expose the core.
  • Certain attack types (Slash, Shot, Blunt, Piercing) are more effective against specific PLT.
  • Destroying PLT charges your Ultimate Gauge — Normal Attacks on PLT are never wasted.
  • Some skills and passives trigger effects specifically when PLT is destroyed.

Ultimate Gauge

  • Each character has an Ultimate Gauge that fills as they attack and take hits.
  • When full (default limit: 300), the character can activate their Ultimate attack.
  • Some characters modify their gauge limit or charge rate through skills and ascension.
  • Always save Ultimates for when the Kaiju's core is exposed for maximum impact.

Action Order

  • Turn order is determined by each character's and Kaiju's SPD stat.
  • Some skills advance or delay Action Order — use these to chain Ultimates efficiently.
  • Freeze and Stun can delay or prevent enemy actions.
  • SPD buffs from Supporter characters can give your squad more frequent turns.

Damage Types

  • ST (Single Target) — Hits one Kaiju for full damage.
  • Blast — Hits primary target and adjacent Kaiju (reduced damage to adjacent).
  • AoE (Area of Effect) — Hits all Kaiju on the field.
  • Additional DMG — Bonus hits triggered by passives, separate from the main attack.
  • DoT (Damage over Time) — Damage dealt at the start of a turn via ailments.
Elements: Fire, Ice, Wind, and Lightning are elemental damage types applied by certain characters. These deal bonus damage to Kaiju with matching weaknesses and enable elemental ailments (Burn, Freeze, Windbite, Shock). See the Elements & Users and Damage Types sections below for the full breakdown.
