Gacha & Pulling Story Modes Events Exploit Medals Currencies Material Synthesis Spec-Ops Rank Character Progression Unlocked Potential Unknown Achievements
๐Ÿ“Š Progression Overview โ–ผ

Characters in K8 The Game are strengthened through several systems. Focus on your core squad first before spreading resources thin.

1
Level Up โ€” Use EXP materials to raise character level. Each level increases base stats.
2
Level Limit Break โ€” Hit the cap? Break it using Honju Neutralization materials and the appropriate Spec-Ops Rank.
3
Skill Enhancement โ€” Level up each of the character's 5 skill types using attribute and role materials plus Exploit Medals and Kaiju Core Materials at higher levels.
4
Ascension (A1โ€“A6) โ€” Unlock powerful passive bonuses using Talent Shards earned from duplicate pulls.
5
Equip & Level Weapon โ€” Equip the best weapon and level it up using weapon EXP materials. Ascend it up to 4 times using duplicate weapons.
6
Develop Uniparts โ€” Craft and equip the recommended Unipart set using Unimaterials from Training.
Priority order: Level โ†’ Skill Enhancement โ†’ Ascension โ†’ Weapon โ†’ Uniparts. Skills provide the biggest power jump per resource spent.
โฌ†๏ธ Leveling & Level Limit Break โ–ผ

Characters have a level cap that increases with your Spec-Ops Rank. To keep leveling past the cap you need to perform a Level Limit Break using materials from Training: Honju Neutralization.

Spec-Ops Rank 1
Level 40 cap
Spec-Ops Rank 2
Level 70 cap
Spec-Ops Rank 3
Level 90 cap
Spec-Ops Rank 4
Level 100 cap
How to Farm Leveling Materials
  • Training: Basic Material โ€” Primary source of EXP materials (Kaijumite). Run this whenever you have stamina to spare.
  • Training: Honju Neutralization โ€” Drops Level Limit Break materials for both characters and weapons. Essential for breaking the level cap.
  • Higher Spec-Ops Rank unlocks harder Training stages with better material yields.
Tip: Don't save EXP materials โ€” use them immediately on your active squad. Stamina is always regenerating so materials will keep coming.
โœจ Skill Enhancement โ–ผ

Each character has 5 skill types that can be leveled up independently. Fully upgraded skills can be nearly twice as effective as base level. Always check a character's Skill Upgrade Priority on their page before spending materials.

Materials Required

Role Materials

Attacker, Supporter, or Defender enhancement materials based on the character's role.

Source: Training โ†’ Role Material

Attribute Materials

Slash, Shot, Blunt, Fire, Wind, Ice, or Lightning materials matching the character's attack type.

Source: Training โ†’ Attribute Material

Exploit Medals

Required for mid-to-high level skill upgrades. Each character uses a specific medal type.

Source: Training โ†’ Identified Kaiju Neutralization (5ร—/week, 0 stamina)

Kaiju Core Material

Required for the final levels of skill enhancement. โ˜…5 characters need it from Skill Level 9+. Very rare.

Source: Emblem of Defense Shop, Encounter Stone Shop, Defense Force Pass, Events

Don't spread thin: Leveling all skills on every character wastes materials. Focus on the top 2โ€“3 skills of your main squad first, following their Skill Upgrade Priority.
๐Ÿ”บ Ascension (A1โ€“A6) โ–ผ

Ascension unlocks powerful passive bonuses for each character across 6 nodes (A1โ€“A6). Each node requires Talent Shards, which are earned from pulling duplicate copies of that character.

General Priority
  • A1 and A2 first โ€” These typically provide the strongest direct power increases and are the highest priority.
  • A3 and A5 are Skill Level nodes โ€” They raise the level cap of specific skills. Only unlock these when you have the materials to immediately use the extra levels โ€” otherwise the node does nothing.
  • A4 and A6 โ€” Vary by character. Check the individual character page for their specific Ascension Priority rating.
Note: Talent Shards are character-specific โ€” they can only be spent on the character they came from. There's no reason to hold back spending them since they can't be used on anyone else anyway. Always spend them as soon as you have enough for the next node.
๐Ÿ’ฅ Unlocked Potential โ–ผ

Unlocked Potential is an advanced enhancement system available for select fully maxed characters. It allows further skill and stat upgrades beyond normal limits using Potential Shard materials.

Currently Available For
Materials Required
  • Stages 1โ€“4: Potential Shard I ร—250 each
  • Stage 5: Potential Shard II ร—100
How to Get Potential Shards
  • Potential Shard I โ€” Training: Unlock Potential Material (1ร—/day, 0 stamina, unlocks at Spec-Ops Rank 2)
  • Potential Shard II โ€” Event rewards only
Requirement: Reach Spec-Ops Rank 2 or higher to access Unlocked Potential. Full character max is not required.
โš”๏ธ Weapon Leveling & Ascension โ–ผ

Weapons can be leveled up and ascended, similar to characters. Always level and ascend the weapon on your main Attacker first.

Weapon Leveling
  • Level weapons using weapon EXP materials from Training: Basic Material and Honju Neutralization.
  • Weapons have level caps tied to your Spec-Ops Rank, just like characters.
  • Unlike characters, leveling weapons has a smaller impact โ€” prioritize characters first.
Weapon Ascension
  • Weapons can be ascended up to 4 times (A1โ€“A4) using duplicate copies of the same weapon.
  • Ascension enhances the weapon's effect (passive ability) โ€” it does not increase base stats.
  • Weapon Ascension does not cost Credits โ€” always ascend weapons whenever you have duplicates. There is no reason to hold back.
  • Check weapon effects before ascending to understand what you're improving.
Weapon Amplification
  • A new system for pushing a weapon's stats beyond its base level, separate from Ascension.
  • Amplification can be fueled by Refinement Crystals (earned by disassembling โ˜…5 weapons) as well as Crystal Shards โ€” a new material earned by exchanging Emblems of Defense or Proof of Valor 1-for-1 (up to 100 each).
  • Refinement Crystals are now dual-purpose: spend them on Weapon Amplification, or save them for the monthly Weapon Exchange Shop.
  • Prioritize Amplification on the weapons equipped by your main squad's core damage dealers first.
Disassemble wisely: Disassembling a โ˜…5 weapon gives 1 Refinement Crystal, usable for Weapon Amplification or the monthly Weapon Exchange Shop. Don't disassemble unless you have a duplicate or truly don't need it โ€” decide which use you want before you spend them.
