Your overall progression rank. Raising it unlocks higher character level caps, new content, and shop items โ but also makes story Kaiju harder.
Spec-Ops Rank is your overall progression rank, separate from Player Rank. It is raised by clearing Promotion Exams โ special missions that unlock once you hit a required Player Rank. There are currently 4 Spec-Ops Ranks.

Raises character level cap from 40 โ 70. Unlocks Spec-Ops Rank 2 and the Spec-Ops Rank II Pack in the Shop.
Enemy weakness: Shot and Physical (Common) plates.
Recommended level: 40+
Clearable with a well-built 4-star squad. Gen Narumi (multi-PLT reduction) and Rin Shinonome (AoE) are very effective.
DIFFICULTY: EASYRaises character level cap from 70 โ 90. Unlocks Spec-Ops Rank 3 and the Spec-Ops Rank III Pack in the Shop.
Enemy weakness: Blunt, Elemental, and Common plates.
Recommended level: 70+
Notably harder than Exam 1. Bring Blunt and Elemental characters. Kaiju No. 8 (Fortitude 9.8) is a strong pick.
DIFFICULTY: MEDIUMRaises character level cap from 90 โ 100. Unlocks Spec-Ops Rank 4.
Unlock requirement: Player Rank 40
Recommended level: 90+
All Kaiju are Level 90 and hit very hard. Bring at least 1โ2 fully leveled characters with strong Uniparts and Weapons. Include a Defender to absorb damage and a Supporter to buff.
